About the Artist
When I was a little girl I used to sit with my grandfather and create images from squiggly lines. I’d draw a squiggle on a page and hand it to him, and he’d hand me his squiggle in return. We’d spend time creating something from each other’s doodle, and then exchange them to see each other’s masterpiece. This would go on for the entire afternoon on the side porch. The SidePorch was built on a connection that runs deep. I suppose this is what happens when you're a runner and designer. Eventually everything connects.
SidePorch Squiggles were born from our home bound situation due to the CoronaVirus, as a way to take a little reprieve from the news that surrounds us, and allow children of all ages to busy their minds for a while and create.
While I find running to be a beautiful form of therapy, so equally important, is creating art.
